Characterization Stanley Yelnats First of all I have to say that it amazes me that his last name is his first name simply spelled backwards. Besides that, Stanley is the protagonist of Holes. He is tall and overweight and also not very popular. He is often bullied by his classmates especially by Derrick Dune. He often imagines how he become good friends with Zero, Squid, X-Ray, Magnet, Zigzag and Armpit and how they beat up Derrick Dune with him. His nickname in the Camp Green Lake is "Caveman". Prediction What is going to happen? I think stanley's gonna find something very strange during the hole digging. It will be very important for the plot of the book. I'm not sure what they gonna find, but some corpses or a big treasure would be interesting. If stanley really finds a treasure, he'll probably keep it to himself. Maybe he will find a talisman or something similar to lift the eternal curse of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing great-great-grandfather. With this thing he can perhaps wish for something and then becomes famous and successful as he always wanted to be. How does some characters change? I think Stanley and the friends he makes in the camp will all change in a same way. They get very rebellious and may try to run away with what they have found and start a new life. A better life. Maybe one of the boys will become a murderer because Mr.Pendanski or Mr.Sir wants to stop them from running away. 151 Words in Total
